The word on the street is out. SAY IT Labs is creating one of the most innovative projects of the year – a video game for people who stutter. But how does that work? Simple, a person who stutters uses their voice to navigate through the game. Their voice is the joystick. We have just completed our second pilot study and are now analyzing the results. Our initial findings suggests that not only is the Fluency Friends fun to play, but the game can be effective in improving fluent speech, in particular for the people who stutter. Over the past few weeks, tens of major reporters in Belgium have been knocking on the curiosity door hoping to get a glance at our work, our team, and details of the project.
